Pen Gallery II (Ballpoint Pens)

Why Chose a Ballpoint Pen?

A ballpoint pen utilizes a small ball bearing refill with an oil-based viscous ink, as opposed to the water-based ink found in roller ball pens. Compared to a roller ball pen, ballpoints lack the free flowing supply of ink, requiring the writer to apply more pressure to the page to write. However, their robust delivery mechanisms and viscous ink makes them suitable where a firm press is required (e.g., for carbon copy type forms) and unwanted bleed-through of ink on lower grade of paper.
